Now let me see if I have understood You are boarding a train. It goes a distance and then returns. You eat your dinneer in the train. What do you see in that distance. Is that the purpose of the travel or just a train experience?

Yu make it sound pretty boring!! The train will go through some pretty countryside, we'll be with good friends and expect to have a good time. I guess it's just something a bit different.

Lots of our towns, especially in WA, have '-up' at the end. I think it's supposed to mean 'place of water'.

I love steam trains, so I’d be disappointed if it was a diesel. We have lots of heritage railways here in the UK running steam trains. Like yours, they are mainly run by elderly volunteers. I think that’s when things started going wrong - when they got rid of steam trains.

I do love these heritage lines, although not a train person myself. There is a steam engine and rolling stock not from me, at Southall. It is not unusual to see it go hurtling by puffing away

Steam is just something else but our train was diesel. Too much risk of bushfires for steam at the moment.
