It was fun However, the sad part was my mom ànd dad stayed home fearing the snow in their area. Sis told them they would be welcome to stay at their house until the weather improved, but they just felt more comfortable staying home. We did talk to them on the phone. They used to know how to use zoom, but that skill seems to have evaporated. Both nephews were there so that was nice..Loved our motel room..most comfy pillows ever..and a great breakfast to boot. We would ordinarily stay at the house..but with my continued coughing didn't seem like a good idea. Erie is in bad shape where M and D. Live. How was your holiday?

Sorry to hear, that, my sister getting older and she seems to have same coughing issues. She smoked for a short spell but said doctors saw no signs of her smoking some 10 years later. That was like 20 years ago. They actually think its do to climate change how dry the earth becoming but its not exact science yet.
They do say they are having more respiratory problems than ever and people do not smoke like they used to. They thinking its lack of oxygen and dust. They have made no definitive reports yet because even if they could would be shot down by politicization, but for people who have this problem, its what you may want to look into.

@sallypup Does not sound good, hope you better. There is something in air that makes people cough. I do know that. Why I say keep a glass of water around you at all times. It makes all the difference in world.

@crossbones27 I had what felt like pnemonia when I returned to Seattle from Idaho. Car exhaust really works on the body.

Thanks, it was a pretty good trip. Of course the food and fellowship was good, and we did thoroughly enjoy the Holiday Inn Express.

It would be nice. It's OK during the day, but during the night, I will get an attack.

@rakski It really disrupts my sleep and it is scary to boot. I have an appointment at the clinic on Monday. It would be nice if they would prescribe me something to help out.

We had a great day with my oldest daughter and her family. Three hour drive each way so a long day! Got two hours of sleep before hubby's alarm went off with low blood sugar alert. I got up and fixed his mini meal and then could not get back to sleep so I got up at 4:30. Caught up on all notifications and now doing some reading!!
Glad you had a great day with your sister!

Thanks, it's manageable. It has been annoying at night though. Something makes my throat tickle and I am coughing for 20 minutes.

I don't know about there, but here except for one warm day, it will last all week. Thanks, cough not gone but may be less potent.

Sorry your mom and dad didn't get to join you all. How are you feeling? Is your cold going away?
Our dinner with our son and grandson was good, a small meal, but nice.

Pretty good thanks. If I could stop coughing I would be quite happy, but you know sometimes these annoying coughs just linger long after cold symptoms.

I can imagine the s**w in Erie. It's s**wed non-stop here for more than a day. Thanksgiving was OK. Ate my Meals on Wheels turkey dinner. Have a good weekend.

Maybe it's for the best, that they didn't try to make the trip, but I am sure sorry you didn't get to see them. I hope your coughing goes completely away soon.

Hope so. Yes, if they had come down, it might have ended up being a mess taking them back.

@MarieCoyle Awful, a few years ago there was a tremendous back up on I 95 in this state that lasted something like 20 hours..in Mid Jan. OMG..I can't even imagine I know they were interviewing one woman who had just dropped her daughter back off at college after winter break. She was thanking God she bought a bottle of water and some pretzels at a convenience store..as that was all she had in the back up...Can you imagine? Where would you even go to the bathroom?

There are a lot of people right now that are literally buried in snow...I cannot imagine being caught on a highway in that mess.

I think most parents are like that - they refuse to stay with children's house and just stay home.
Have a wonderful day.
