Holiday Blues..

Hope everyone had a great Holiday, but boy I’m glad the Holidays are over. All we have is New Years in a few days and I plan to stay home and relax. Besides all the money spent, my children are happy and that's all that matters.
This time of the year is rough since I lost my father in 2020 due to Covid and his birthday is on Christmas eve. I even noticed a lot of people out in public that were on edge which I symptomize with cause Christmas time isn't always a happy time for everyone. I'm just glad Christmas is over and I get a week off to relax and enjoy some downtime.
How was your Holiday? Do you get the Holiday Blues as well?

It’s nice to see you here. I can understand the loss of a parent. 
I was cheerful all month long, but the deep sadness hit me yesterday. I hope that we can both shake the blues.

Good to see you! Glad the holidays were nice for your family. I had been feeling the blues from October - we lost my father a couple years ago end of October. Holidays feel "different" for me now . . . but we do what we can to keep the holidays special for our kids, right?

I have a situation in my family that does cause me grief all the time, and it is especially poignant at holiday times. I am enjoying my break this week as well. Back to work on Friday.

I love how the fireplace is decorated! That’s a pretty fireplace to begin with.
Holidays are stressful for me because so many people get us gifts and won’t stop so we have to exchange and it’s so costly.
I can’t imagine loosing my father. I’m so sorry. Even a few years later I’m sure the pain is so hard and especially the holidays knowing he isn’t there.
