So Far, It's Been Kinda a Big Fat Nothing

I may well be speaking too soon, although I hope not, but by now we were supposed to be sitting on much more snow than we actually got. So far, it's only been maybe two inches, depending on where you look.
We were supposed to have heavy winds and lots of snow with mixes of freezing rain and sleet to the tune of 6-8 inches.
My fingers are crossed that what we have here is a case of back room deals made by the meteorologists with the grocery stores to get everyone in a panic and boost sales.
We will see.

It's almost 6 pm here and we're still getting freezing rain and sleet mix. We were supposed to be getting snow by 4 pm. That's about the time the temp dropped again. We dropped from 32 to 26. I'm still not enthused about the quarter inch of ice on my car, though.
We never made it to the grocery store before the freezing drizzle started yesterday. I couldn't see well enough to drive before then. Pretty took one look at me and didn't even ask me to try.

@porwest The news said we got 4 inches, too, between the ice and snow. It's more than I wanted but less than was predicted. That's not a lot for here but it is a lot for January. We usually get most of our snow in February and March.

@DaddyEvil Same here. The only thing I am grateful here as opposed to Wisconsin is less snow year round and shorter winters. Other than that, it still sucks. lol

@RasmaSandra I'd have more than one. They aren't really that expensive.

Are you trying to make me jealous? It's working. We don't have snow here, despite the promises that it would snow starting at 1 AM and continue until 10 this morning. It's not snowing yet.
I'm glad you didn't get the mess they predicted.

Be safe if it gets worse. We'll have rain tomorrow, but hopefully that's all.
