I got the trash can out to the road.
The city thinks they may do the Monday pick up some time to day, as it is not actively precipitating, and the in town roads have at least been partially cleared.(it is Tuesday)
The snow has drifted up to my knees in places. I know the temperatures are in the single digits, but there is no wind.
Now I am inside, with a nice cup of fresh hot coffee. I am glad to have the day off.

We haven't gotten much snow but it's still trying. I don't think it'll stop garbage pickup tomorrow (Wed.)

I’m glad by the sounds of those conditions that you have to day off! Stay in the rest of the day and stay warm. I’ve finished my coffee and am starting on my tea. I’m feeling extremely sick all the sudden though in the middle of doing laundry. I hope I haven’t caught a bug. I still am not over whatever I caught from my husband so maybe this is part of it. I woke up with a nosebleed.

I hope you did not get sick again. The dry, heated air can help cause nosebleeds.

@GardenGerty it was part of whatever I was sick with. I had caught it from my husband and he had one day where he was really sick that way as well. Blamed it on the food he ate. I had eaten nothing at all so it wasn’t from food.

I was going to do that, but the pack of snow/ice/snow was too thick. Then later yesterday I read the list of closings on one of our news sites, and it said that the city is NOT picking up today because of the weather. Thankful I didn’t waste the energy.
