I woke up at 1:30 am, I heard my phone sending me a message.
It was completely quiet in the house, no power! The power company was letting me know that the outage was reported.
An hour later we hear a vehicle pull up, the power company, I stuck my head out the door and told him the breaker was a couple streets over, the guy replied " it's not the breaker, it's burnt."
I went back to bed to stay warm, I woke up at 7 am, still no power.
I had gotten messages all morning from the power company.
When I looked outside I seen why I had no power, it's really messed up.
The line crew just arrived.
God bless all of them!
Yes I'm cold. Yes I don't have my hot coffee. But these guys have been going since yesterday trying to make sure everyone has power.
Life could be worse.

I hope you're warm enough and they get your power fixed quickly.
Did you go out in the cold to take that photo?

I hope it gets fixed fast. I was just looking online and it seems we may have an ice storm on tap for next weekend. I hope that forecast is wrong!!

J20T, you are so right to be thankful for having had a good sleep, waking to cold and without coffee, as those linesman have been working so long and hard.
I hope that someone goes to a donut shop and gets them some coffees. I have done that in the past, it goes a long way to those working in that sector.

Being cold and not having power is very concerning. I’m glad it’s back on now. I also hope that you got that hot coffee!!
