Sometimes You Just Make It Up

Of course, this is sometimes what gets me in trouble with @NJChicaa, but hey, as I always like to say, so long as it's good eats, so what if you wing it a little bit? It's not like when I make up a dish I don't have at least some reference in mind.
I had some whipping cream to use up from a recent batch of clam chowder and thought, clam chowder is basically just a potato soup with clams in it. You can make any kind of "creamy" soup, so why not make up a creamy chicken soup?
I browned some cubed chicken breast and set it aside. Then cooked up some carrots, potatoes, celery and onions. Tossed in sliced white mushrooms and cooked it a bit more. Poured in a can of cream of chicken soup, 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, 2 cups of chicken broth, a chicken bouillon cube, a couple teaspoons of cumin and thyme, as well as about a tablespoon of Italian seasoning, some minced garlic and voila!
It was DELICIOUS. What went on your dinner table last night? Do you ever sometimes just make it up as you go?
***In case you are wondering, the image is not creamy chicken soup, but its actually a BLT.***

Your creamy chicken sounds good to me! I enjoy cooking and wing it occasionally.
Last night we had roast beef, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

@porwest in the air fryer with just a spritz of olive oil and salt & pepper. It came out sort of roasted

I don’t like to follow recipes. I only look up recipes if I don’t know how long to cook something for and at what temperature, or if I’m not sure the order of the steps to make the dish.
