I’m about five hours from home. There’s supposed to be heavy rain, possible flooding, and they haven’t ruled out severe weather, in the south this upcoming week, so I’m safer at home. I have lots of tea to keep me warm while I remember these two great weeks.
The shirt is what I picked up today, which should tell you where I spent a lot of the day. 
I’ll detail things when I get home and rested, but for now I just wanted to check in and say HEY!
And I found the perfect shirt for me. Of course, we all know I didn’t have to go to Plains, Georgia to go nuts.

I hope you have a safe trip home... And we all know you didn't have to drive to Georgia to get a shirt like that, either... But you did it anyway.

Lots of lovely state parks in Georgia. I have a hot date in Mississippi for the Derby getaway, but Georgia is one of my go-to vacation spots.

@Tampa_girl7 — the suite hotels I’ve stayed at have signs in the room telling the guests where they are (in terms of county, city, etc.) in case of severe weather. I think that’s an incredible idea, and I’d like to see it in every hotel. If you’re traveling and stop for the night, you aren’t likely to know what county you’re in should a tornado or flood warning be issued.

Thank you. Today is a “lull” in the weather, so that’s why I’m heading home. Better to be where you know the territory well when bad weather comes around.

@JudyEv — I really don’t. It took three days to get out of the Panhandle, and in those three days I traveled less than 100 miles (think that’s about 130 kilometers).

Thanks. Thank God, it’s been great. The car averaged 36.5 MPG. I’m having lunch at Chuy’s in Bowling Green and should be home in two hours.

Looks like you are having an amazing trip so far! Safe travels! Hopefully you can take care of the best of the weather. A warm cup of tea and good memories should help you to carry through. It is a good thing you are keeping a watch on the weather while travelling. It is definitely a smart move to avoid any challenges. I also do the same while doing lomng drives or when I am going to be road for sometime. Could definitely sense you do not have to drive to Georgia to get the shirt. And funny quote on the T-shirt. Looking forward to hear more about your adventures, once you are back home and fully relaxed. Enjoy the time!
