Arby's Ruined Our Dinner

Usually, when it comes to grabbing something out when we are on the go, I have a rule to never do it after a certain time, and usually that's about 2pm. Yet, lo and behold, we got a little bit later start yesterday, and I didn't eat anything before we left, and so it was around 2pm when wifey, mom and I got a bit hungry and we happened to be near an Arby's which was advertsing 4 for $10 on their classic roast beef sandwiches. We stopped for a bite and we got 4 roast beefs, a large fry and mom got a fish sandwich. My wife ate one of the 4 roast beefs and some fries, and I ate two of the roast beefs and some fries. By the time dinner time came around we were both still mostly satisfied, so I decided not to cook. Wifey had the remaining roast beef sandwich and I cooked up two hot dogs and rolled them onto a piece of bread with a little dollop of ketchup. I hate ruining dinner. But at the same time it still worked out. Do you ever have a late lunch that kills your appetite for dinner?

Your first mistake was buying food from Arby's. Gross.

It's delicious. You don't know what you are talking about. Food snob.

At first I though you were going to say that Arbys food wasn't good and that ruined your dinner. But, glad you all enjoyed your Arbys. What would have ruined my dinner was putting ketchup on a hot dog

@porwest I know a lot of people put ketchup on hot dogs but it's just not something I could ever do. Give me plenty of other hot dog toppings and I'm happy.

@Marilynda1225 If it makes you feel better, I did batch up some fried onions on the last batch we had just the other day with actual hot dog buns and used stone ground mustard. lol

I mean, don't get me wrong, mustard is better, but ketchup and a hot dog for me just goes together. I'm eating that. lol

Oh, you! I was ready to read something terrible, like finding a fingernail or something among the slices of beef. I just eat when I'm hungry, such as just now I inhaled two slices of toast with cabernet jelly on them.

No. Nothing like that. lol. That would be awful. As for me, dinner is our most important meal of the day. I don't want to ruin it.

We had a big (for us) cooked breakfast yesterday and skipped lunch. We did have dinner though.

I guess in a way it still works out. If we're not hungry that's still a good thing in its own way, I suppose.

My lunch is usually dinner. I usually have a small snack for dinner - no later than 5 pm.

Dinner, for us, is generally our biggest meal of the day, which we normally have around 730pm.
