Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 43 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is just 50. Meh.
I’m at work as usual. I have to proctor state testing 1st period. If I really wanted to be a jerk I could demand that one of my classes later in the day is covered since I’m losing my prep but I won’t go there. I’m actually losing 4 prep periods this week. I’m finally caught up on my grading after being out for jury duty and after teaching the same thing for 21 years there isn’t much to prep. 
I’m starting genetics with the students today. That’s a topic that they usually enjoy. It certainly is more interesting than photosynthesis or protein synthesis. After work I have 2 hours of tutoring. $91. Cha-ching!

I am going to try something new. I read online a few places that some people are making thousands online selling books. I am going to go to the local yard sale/ thrift shop today to see what they have. I don't expect to make thousands, but a few hundred if that was doable would be quite helpful as well. I downloaded an app that allows me to scan onsite to tell me if anything is buy back material. Alternatively, book selling on Amazon makes people cash.

I have heard of this one book store in Oregon as well as online that buys books. I may try it out on Spring Break. Good luck.
