What Are Your Favorite Cleaning Products to Use

If I could afford it, I'd rather hire someone to clean my kitchen, bathroom, and floors but that's just not happening. Therefore, I've armed myself with some of my favorite cleaning products to do chores like dishes, counter tops, toilets and other household items.
In choosing and shopping for these items I factor in things like cost, versatility, ease of use, and effectiveness in getting that particular job done. Here are a sample of some of my favorite cleaners to compare to yours. Maybe I'll try out your suggestions to see if they are better than what I'm using. Below are my go-to brands...
1. DAWN PLATINUM CLEANING LIQUID
- This one is pricy compared to other brands, but if it can clean oil off little ducks like it says in the commercial its got to be effective. I find it really good for cleaning greasy residue on pots and pans. In addition, I even use dawn for laundry to clean tough clothing stains.
2. COMET ALL PURPOSE CLEANER
- For quick cleanups I've found this product to be really useful. I can use it on many household surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom cleaning tile, grout, floors, sinks and tub. I have used Ajax in the past, but like the spray bottle over the powdery stuff from the can.
3. BONA HARDWOOD FLOOR CLEANER SPRAY
- Effective and easy to use and the formula evaporates quickly. It is also EPA Safer Choice certified, meaning it meets
environmental health criteria.
4. WINDEX GLASS CLEANER
- I use this one for my mirrors and windows and find it to work really well compared to other brands. Windex has been around awhile and has that name recognition and track record and is fairly priced. I have also used Windex on other surfaces like plastic, stove top, and my vinyl patio furniture. I have also tried Glass Plus before and its ok too.
That's a small list. One could also name toilet bowl cleaner, stainless steel polishes, rug stain remover, and dishwasher products in addition to the one's I've named above.
Your turn, what's your "go-to" cleaning products that you use in the home to get things shiny and clean again?

Brands. Hmm. Here's the thing. I don't really support brands. I support products that are economical that work, and 99% of the time that's something generic.
At the same time, I do have some preferences which have developed over the years. For example, when it comes to toilet paper, these days, we only use Cottonelle. We're satisfied with it, and nothing sticks in places it's not supposed to. I also prefer Rain-X windshield washer fluid and only ever buy that. I like the way it beads and during the summer I use the green bug remover one and in the winter I use the orange one.
My wife prefers Dawn dishwashing liquid, and so we buy that. Another brand I use often is Ultra-Brite toothpaste. But that's only because it's the cheapest. Every once in a while Aim is cheaper and we get that. So, there's no preference there, but both are brands.
Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever seen a generic toothpaste, and that makes me curious why there isn't an Equate brand of it at Walmart. Maybe there is?
For creaks and squeaks I only use WD-40. I can't think of many brands I choose specifically even as I am sitting here thinking about it. Even when I smoked, I preferred Newport but mostly bought Doral.

I agree with your premise on generic brands. If it does the job as well as the brand names, I buy them.
I think for certain household products people find one at a reasonable price and use that one. I often see what they have at Dollar Tree and buy them there. They carry brand names, but I've tried off brands too with satisfaction.
Crest is my favorite toothpaste but not the ones with baking soda or other fancy additives. Dollar Tree has Crest for $1.25 for 5.5 Oz size. I stock up on those because I can't find it anywhere else cheaper.
WD-40 is a must, but it sure has gotten expensive.

@dgobucks226 Dollar Tree is tricky because while things seem cheaper, it's not the case with everything of course. You have to check the unit cost to determine if it really is a bargain. Many items there are not bargains, so what I buy there is limited. I do shop there often, though, and there are several regular items I do buy.

Isn't that Goo Gone a great product; I use it too.
Yes, swifter is a great invention. I use one too.
Other cleaning products:
Dishwasher- I've always bought Cascade first the powder, then the liquid and now the Cascade Platinum Plus Dishwasher Pods.
Carpet/Rug- I just bought and tried Carbona Oxy Powered Carpet Cleaner with great results. It has a brush attachment on top which makes it easy to use and economical, so you don't use too much.
Thanks for your responses!
