Authorities rescue a dog that was tangled in a tree in Florida

Authorities in Sumter County Florida answered an emergency call from the owner of male dog named Blackie who went missing from his home in Sumter County on Sunday March 2. Animal control officers with Sumter County went to the Jumper Creek Wildlife Management Area where they saw Blackie tangled in a tree near Lake Panasoffkee when the animal control officers received help from the Sumter County & Fire EMS who used two watercraft boats with animal control officers working to rescue the dog who was not able to get loose from the tree due to his collar tangled on a tree. The animal control officers were able to get Blackie free from being tangled in a tree and take him via a watercraft to the shore safely. Thanks to a microchip on Blackie, his owner was contacted and he did reunite with his pet dog one week after Blackie was tangled on a tree.
