A Water to Top off the Day

We all have our habits and routines. For some, they are more defined than others. Take my "drinking" habits, if you will. In the morning it's only ever coffee. During the day I drink mostly only water. I rarely drink anything else. In the evenings I drink beer. But one other habit is to drink some water before I go to bed. For whatever reason it just makes me feel a little better in the morning and my mouth is less dry. What are your drinking habits?

1 coffee in the morning and 1 coffee in noon time. The rest of the days will mostly be water. Unless I am outside, then I may take some soda.

I never have coffee except in the morning, but of course, we're all different.

I like my morning coffee these days. It doesn't even matter if it's decaf, but the day doesn't start right without it! I'll have another mid morning but don't generally drink more coffee after that; from then on it's mainly water, sometimes squash.

Depending on my mood l could start with a herbal tea - straight from my garden or cocoa or decaf coffee. During the day it would be plain water.

I have never enjoyed tea. A lot of people do, though.

I generally drink cold drinks, regardless of the time of year.

I used to prefer to drink cold water. Now I have actually gotten to prefer room temp more. I guess over time our tastes change. When I was younger, I drank a lot of soda. Now I hardly ever have a soda.

Warm water? I don't mind room temperature, but I'd never want warm water.

When I wake up, the first thing I do is to drink a glass of water.

I have heard that's a good thing to do. But for me, it's coffee first before anything else.

I drink coffee first thing in the morning and as a pick me up throughout the day. In between and when I am outside I drink water. I usually have water with my meals also.

During the work week I will start with Herbal Tea that I have blended myself. When that is gone I will switch to water usually early afternoon. Perhaps several times a week I will have a ginger ale. On the weekend I will start with coffee and then water and occasionally will drink herbal tea too.

I get a very dry mouth overnight. My dentist recommended a certain toothpaste to help the secretion of saliva but I can't see that that is going to help much.

@porwest I always take a glass of water to bed with me. I rarely sleep right through and if I'm dry, then I'll have a drink handy.

@JudyEv I don't keep one at my bedside. But I do keep a bottle on the way, easily accessible, to wet my whistle before turning in.

Don’t really have drinking habits. Actually, it’s hard to get myself to drink at all, unless I’m thirsty. Supposedly, you’re supposed to drink eight glasses of water a day. I’m lucky if I drink one.

I admit, I do have to force water down. But I was in the hospital once with severe dehydration, and I never want to experience that again, so I force it.

Water all day and maybe a hot or iced tea in the morning. We have a water dispenser next to the water fountains right outside of my classroom so I am able to fill up my Stanley 40 ounce tumbler whenever I need to--usually 2x per day.

I try to drink as much water as I can; and I have a can of diet pop with lunch and dinner. I used to have a cup of coffee with a muffin or some such thing in the late afternoon; but when my husband was gone, I had to drop that routine.

Water became very important for me. I used to drink a lot of "liquids," but apparently many of them were not actually hydrating. One day I fell very ill and wound up in the emergency room with severe dehydration. It was a wake up call for me.
