Second childhood, perhaps?

We decided to adopt Rufus about four years ago. We love him and we hate him. Wish I were joking. Its like living with a clever coyote sometimes. Living with a Blue Heeler can really push your human buttons.
Sunshine this morning. I woke thinking we would get the two buckets filled with dirt and then seed some lettuce and nasturiasms in them this morning. I came downstairs and boom: reality. Rufus had decided to grab the bag of flour that is generally tucked in the bottom of the rolling cart. During the night he had decided to take the flour bag and its contents into my study and onto his favorite couch. Mess!!!!! Luckily he only dumped a cup or so in a mound onto the cushions. And some on the hardwood floor. I vacummed up the disaster, getting most of the white off the gray cushions. The super fun part was taking apart the vacuum and cleaning ALL the flour from its plastic cup and its filter.
Rufus has good, high protein dog chow and treats every night. I guess he just got bored? On to a little chair nap for me then I will work on the floor some.

Dogs will find a way to entertain themselves when they get bored, that's true...
I hope you still get the dirt and plant your seeds today... After your nap, of course.

@sallypup You're welcome.
I'm feeling better now. I haven't felt that electric jolt running from my left hip down my left leg since we left the chiropractor's office yesterday. Thank you.

You can't complain, Rufus was bored and found a way to stay entertained
. Being a parent or pet parent needs lots of energy and patience. Hope that you get the dirt and plant your seeds. A nap should refresh you .

I am familiar with the love, hate dynamic. Lately, Nico has been pretty good though. Other than eating like a horse, he has been content. I hope it continues. Maybe Rufus needs some new engaging toys?

@snowy22315 Good idea. I wish Rufus played with toys. Gardening buddy wondered about stringing a ball between trees? Rufus might jump at it?

@sallypup It wasn't where it belonged
Maybe teach him something new. That's what I do with Patch when she starts acting up. And I will have to soon I think

@wolfgirl569 I've been thinking about setting up a basic agility course; set some jumps up. He knows the word "over."

Oh, Rufus!! More work for Mom!! Maybe you should just superglue his tail to one of those little vacuum cleaner things that run on a battery, and he can clean as he goes!!

@MarieCoyle Rufus is a stub tail. Otherwise that is a great idea.

My dog Kittu too is very naughty. He had an attraction towards slippers and tears them.

Our pets can be a challenge sometimes. I'm glad the mess wasn't worse. Have a good weekend.
