Delivery came too early

I got a call yesterday letting me know that my chair will get delivered from 8:15 - 10:15 AM on Tuesday.
The delivery guy called me at 7 AM today and told me he’ll be here in twenty minutes.
What the heck? That’s too early.
Thankfully I was awake but I was still in bed.
I jumped out of bed, changed from my pajamas to my home clothes, brushed my hair, and went to splash water on my face. I managed to do my toilet business though had to cut it short. I didn’t wanna be on the toilet when the guy came.
The new chair seemed damage-free so all’s good. Hopefully, the new leather chairs will last a long time without any issues.
Around 8 AM I got this text: We will be there today! Track your Bloomingdale's delivery here…
Why send this when the chair was already delivered? Makes no sense.

Yikes, I hate people at the house too early. I am supposed to have a desk delivered tomorrow. I asked them to do it between 9 and 10, but they wanted to come earlier. We will see what happens.

I was never asked about the delivery time. They just informed me when they will arrive.

@lovebuglena I totally understand. I ignore the door if I'm using the bathroom. Either Pretty can answer it or the person can come back when it's more convenient for me.
I understand you couldn't do that. I'm glad you got your new chair.

@DaddyEvil I can’t tell delivery guy “sorry dude I gotta finish in the bathroom… I will let you in when I’m done.”

Sorry for the TMI but I hate it that I couldn’t finish my bathroom business and had to wait till delivery to go back to the bathroom.

That’s not fun. But the earlier they come the faster they finish.

@lovebuglena He had a crew of about 15 guys. They finished the whole roof by 5 pm.

I don’t think Bloomingdales ever does that. They ask my preferred day but I don’t have a say about the time.
