Wednesday Chit Chat

Happy Wednesday Everyone! looks like a really nice day today. The sun is shining and the temperatures are warm but not too hot. Looks like we might actually be able to put those winter clothes.
I got up at my regular time this morning, came downstairs and had my coffee. My daughter went upstairs to work and next thing I know the dog is waking me up. I can't believe I fell asleep! Without intending to, I snuck in a nice hours nap 
Since that first cup of coffee didn't work it's magic I'm hoping this second cup does.
Today is laundry day and not much else regarding house chores.
I've been looking for new kitchen dishtowels but so far either they're too expensive or don't look absorbent enough. The last ones I bought were from the Dollar Tree and they wound up being worth exactly that....a dollar.

I guess I did need that nap 
it was totally unexpected that's for sure. Usually I'm up and doing things when I finish my first cup. My recliner was just too comfortable this morning I guess.
I'm sure I'll find the dishtowels I like but it's not something that's urgent.

If you took an inadvertent nap, it means you needed more rest. 
(I do that all the time while watching a movie or a YT video. 
I think I spend more time finding the spot I fell asleep during videos than I do watching them. )
I don't mind spending "too much" for good towels, dish towels and wash cloths. They last forever and absorb everything well. It's much easier getting good ones than finding cheap ones that are good, in my opinion.1 person likes this

I probably did need that unexpected nap this morning. I do feel more energized now
I can relate to the whole falling asleep while watching tv, etc.
I have good quality towels for the bathrooms but the kitchen ones are pretty cheap. Spending more and having them last longer is the way I'll go.

I've always fallen asleep if I get bored and some shows can be boring in spots. *shrug* Pretty used to get so mad at me when we went to a movie and I'd sleep through half of it. 
I was glad when she stopped asking to go to theaters. At least, watching something at home means if I really want to know what happens after the boring parts, I can go back and watch whatever I missed. 
(Pretty will tell me if it stayed boring so I skip the rest of the movie/show. )
I hope you find something you're happy with.

I guess we are in summer now, Temperature these days is 31C though according to the forecast, it will cool down a bit to 25C on Friday and weekend.

It's 58 and windy here today. I haven't had any coffee in months. Oh, I get an occasional Frappe at McDonald's but not sure a person could call that 'coffiee'.
We don't have any Dollar Stores near us anymore. We used to have a Family Dollar in one direction and a Dollar Store in the other. They have both closed. Now we just have ones across town. My daughter used to enjoy going there.

Glad it was or still is a nice day where you are.
The sun was shining here today, blue skies.
I didn't have my first coffee until 5.30pm.
Had been drinking tea.
The first coffee did the trick and then so did the next two.
Kitchen dishtowels are a big talkingmloint for us.
I use them on the bike for cleaning and Yvonne gets a bit snappy.
She sent me.to buy more, and you are right, they are expensive.
I go to charity shops a lot and get them cheap there.
