Are there parts of your personality that have not changed in your entire lifetime?

The two main things that have not changed in my entire lifetime are my love of sports and my love of music. If you were mute, and came to me with two baseball gloves and a ball, or two guitars, I would know what to do. Entire conversations can be had without words.
I also have a weird memory. I can easily forget names like Tom Cruise or Nikki Haley, but I can remember scenes from my childhood (and more recent scenes as well), including what I was thinking and feeling at the time.
I can think of ways in which I have changed as well. But I will save that for another post.

I am so forgetful. Names are horrible for me. But I remember faces.
My shyness has changed, but my sense of humor hasn't. I love to laugh and make others laugh. It helps me so much with my depression too.

There are two answers I can give.
My wife's statement is
"You have not changed at all !! "
I hear this especially when she is in anger !!
Apart from that, my interest in Travel and Travel watch, Cricket and reading novels has not changed.
What might have changed could be the time I am able to devote for my various interests.
Are you able to play Baseball in your vicinity?

I don't think I've changed much at all. I'm still myself. Okay maybe I grew a spine, but still.

@TheHorse I learned to speak up and advicate more for myself, and more recently and importantly, George. I still cower at conflict, but I know some battles are worth fighting for. I learned when and how it's okay not to take no for an answer.

@kaylachan I have always been a bit conciliatory. But I am trying to be more assertive when it is called for.

@TheHorse The enjoyment of reading, yes... It's a compound sentence so the first part was "My enjoyment for" and then the first enjoyment and then the second enjoyment...

My love of reading has remained steady in my life, going all the way back to when I first learned to read. Also, and people may argue this, but I am quiet and reserved and like to observe and study things before opening my mouth and commenting or adding my two cents.

@TheHorse Exactly. I like to sit back, listen and observe, and then only add my comments if I think they will add value to the conversation.

It's kind of funny. I was oblivious to younger kids until I wound up being one of the older kids on the block in Chicago. My friends and I taught the younger kids how to play football, etc. Now I really enjoy interacting with younger kids.

I guess the two things about me that have been since childhood are my love of singing and how easy it is to hurt my feelings.

@TheHorse I started out singing country many years ago (had a little band), but I sing Gospel music now.

@1creekgirl There are many different kinds of gospel music. I like songs like Hank Williams's House of Gold, But I also like Bach Cantatas. I'll link House of Gold (as covered by the Seldom Scene). I do that one.

I will always love the color pink. I will always love music although the type of music has changed from when I was a kid.
