My unfinished crochet dolls

Hi, it's nice to always see you here. i always wanted to be more active at myLot, but there are always distractions... Thanks! My family and I are doing well, now I feel like I am moving into a newer stage - two children are teenagers now, I always need to learn and catch up with them, especially the teenaged girl. I really admire you can be so well with your princess. I am doing good with my girl, but I just feel like she's changed so much being a teenager, which I haven't really cope up with her yet.... Do you crochet the bedspread? I can't imaging working on such a big project. I am too lazy to work on such a big project. Perhaps I just don't have enough patience to do so.... Hope you and your princess are doing well too!

@kaka135 I'm retired so there aren't as many distractions. And Pretty is 36 years old now so she's only a distraction if I let her be one. I'm glad you're all doing well. The teens for Pretty were rough... But I was getting divorced from her mom and then got full custody of Pretty. We had to sit down and I explained what that meant and what everybody expected from her. We still had some problems but they turned out okay in the end. (Her mom caused us more problems than Pretty did, even so. Pretty and I were both relieved when her mom decided to move to Hawaii instead of staying in the same city we lived in. Pretty felt abandoned so I scheduled her to talk to a psychologist when she wanted someone besides me to talk to about things... She still sees him every month or two for an hour visit.) Yes, I crocheted several bedspreads, including one for Pretty when she was 7 years old. I have a picture of it on this laptop and will try to add it to this comment box. (I've been having trouble getting pictures to add lately so am not willing to bet I can add it.) Bedspreads really don't take too long if I sit down and just do the work. The one I'm making now is for me and that's probably the reason I'm not hurrying to finish it. I do better when I'm making something for someone else. Pretty at 7 years old with her bedspread. @DaddyEvil It was really not easy for you and Pretty, glad that both of you are well now. It's so good that she has you as her dad. Thanks for sharing the beautlful picture. She really looks pretty and happy in the picture with the beautiful bedspread purposely made for her. She will always be your precious princess, right? I can't imagine how you could finish that bedspread when you are taking care of a 7 year old girl. I agree making something for others is more motivating. Have a beautiful day, always.

Thanks! Sometimes I might have too many things I'd like to do, but rarely get them done. Well, I do enjoy the process of doing things, though it'd be good if they get done too. I don't think it's my talent, it's just that started learning and practicing help.

@youless Paintings? That seems something hard for me. Hopefully we will get them done one day.... slowly, bit by bit....

Thanks. I wish I have time to make more dolls for those who like them. Yes, I totally agree, many don't get enough sleep, and do not prioritize sleep too. I am one of them.

Please say thanks to your wife for me. She's so nice to make blankets for charity.... Making blankets seems to be a huge project to me. Hope you will enjoy your motorbike riding soon! Are you going to fix it yourself?

@kaka135 Lots of people get cold in the winter here because they cannot afford to turn on the heating. Yes. Motorbike is ready to go on the road. Then after it's had a test drive it's coming back into the garage and the body work will get a refresh, some of the fairing is damaged

I am still making things for my younger two, my eldest doesn't care anymore. I almost gave up my small garden now. I didn't spend enough time to even water the plants in my yard... I just recently emptied some flower pots, and left only a few plants.Enjoy your yard projects!

I always wanted to learn sewing, but didn't make it. I just hand sewed some simple stuff, machine sewing seems to be quite challenging to me. To me, I think sewing requires more focus. Hope you will get your bedsheet done soon.

That's a good plan. I am catching up slowly.... on various stuff too.
