It's not about the sheep

You might wonder why I’ve put up this photo but just before I took it I couldn’t help noticing all their white legs then the bodies above it.
We drove to our niece’s house yesterday but I forgot my phone and the cord for my computer so today we drove home again. That's the reason I haven't been on for the last several hours.
Thankfully, it’s only a 30-minute drive between the two places. While we were out we did an early vote to save long queues next Saturday then did some grocery shopping and finally bought some vegetable seedlings which I’ll plant for my niece. Vince also bought himself a basil plant. Usually these die off over winter but the one he got is supposed to be a perennial so here’s hoping.
Tomorrow, Vince’s brother is coming and we’re going to prune some trees which will enable us to get the motor-home in the driveway. We don’t need it to live in here but we have a few things we’d like to do to it.

Good think you guys were close enough to make a quick trip home again.
I hope you enjoy yourselves while house-sitting for your niece.

@JudyEv Since Pretty won't give out her phone number to anyone, I need my phone as a phone. It's the only way people can contact us if we're away from home of if the power goes out.
We were only without internet for 48 hours and we definitely felt the loss! Most of our entertainment is online now, except for the ebooks I read and I almost ran out of those in the 48 hours we were without power and internet.

@DaddyEvil I really miss myLot when the site goes down. There must be thousands of books in this house-sit. They seem to be everywhere.

For how many days will you be in and out of your niece's house?

They look like they lined up for a class photo!
Does the community you live in have parking/storage space for your motorhome?

@JudyEv — great, as long as you’re not suffering with added expenses.

It's nice to plant some vegetable seedlings near your niece's house.

I'm glad it was a short drive. I left my power cord at home in California one vacation and had to buy a cord in Las Vegas. My husband couldn't believe I would forget it. Now I use both cords a lot, as easy to plug in and not carry the cord room to room.

When you use the computer a lot, there seems to be lots of 'bits' that you have to remember. I use a mouse so there is a little stick thing that has to sit in the computer to activate the mouse; then I have an external hard drive so all in all it's easy to forget one or the other.

Basil plants can't suffer a cold winter here.
