Half way home.

We have reached the half way point in our journey home
It's called The Pitstop and it is an old bus converted into a restaurant.
So it's breakfast time.
Big Daddy Breakfast for 2 with a mug of coffee
I must go and eat now as we haven't had anything to eat today.

I hope you enjoyed your breakfast there.
I remember many old railway compartments were turned into COVID centers during the pandemic.

@Ineeddentures When COVID spread; we were not prepared for it. We had no COVID specific hospitals. So the government decided to use those compartments. Now we have everything to meet such challenges. I don't know what those compartments. are used for now

Always enjoy breakfast there. We go there every time we come back home down the road it sits beside
Using old railway compartments for COVID centers was a great idea.

How long of a drive did you have to get back home?
When I’m traveling, one of the things I always look forward to is stopping somewhere along the way to get a hearty meal.

Reading your post initially it set me thinking as Half Way Home here is a temporary home for thos who are recovering from mental illness
Good to know it is a home where you will now have breakfast Enjoy.

That photo is making me hungry.
Here they converted an old train car into one, I've never eaten there but my friend told me the food is really good but very expensive ....... I'll not be eating there anytime soon, money is tight these days

Money is tight here too, but this was one purchase I could not resist.
£20 for us both, but that included a mug of coffee.
Prices just keep getting higher and higher and if they don't stop rising soon people will starve.

Oh I need lots of coffee my friend.
Coffee is my saviour and the thong I like to drink most.
We have 3 coffee machines

Looking at the serving, it's twice the regular serving. That's probably why it is called Big Daddy Breakfast. Enjoy your meal and wish you a safe trip back to your home.

It's not as big as it used to be. They have cut a few corners. Was not that impressed to be honest.

We got home early afternoon.
It was even warmer here at home than it was on holiday.
We went out on our big bike late afternoon and then we had our 3rd bike out as well tonight.

In Scotland we love our big protein filled breakfasts.
This one was quite big but I have seen and eaten much bigger ones.
