Thanks to the efforts of Bonne Terre Missouri resident Ray Settle who was walking around his property on Tuesday April 29 when he saw a nest that had fallen into a river when Ray saw a pair of baby eagles who were in danger of drowning since the nest was sinking into the river, Ray contacted officials of the World Bird Sanctuary (WBS) which is located in St. Louis Missouri who had to borrow a canoe from Ray to rescue the baby eagles. After the baby eagles were rescued by the WBS officials, they were taken to a sanctuary where they will be staying until they are able to fly as adults since their nests are history. I am happy to hear this. The bald eagle is our national bird here in the US.

I wonder why the nest fell, into the river. Maybe, the mother eagle needs to take another course in safe nest building.

The weather in that area did cause severe damage to the trees.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, l was thinking it might have been due to a bad weather event.

Glad to know that the baby eagles were rescued in time. The sanctuary would be a safer place for them.
