Shopping spree

I went to Bloomingdale’s Friday to see if I can use my Lloyalist rewards. I had $125, $50, and $25 reward cards to spend. I have a pair of black/white On Cloud 5 sneakers and wanted to get another pair in a different color. They no longer have On Cloud 5 in the store and my size is not available online. (I had previously purchased them online and returned them because of a defect.) I decided to try On Cloud 6, which is the latest model. I like the look of Cloud 5 better but these still look nice and are supposed to be more comfortable. The material on one side of each sneaker is bunged up for some reason but when you put them on it becomes straight. All three pairs the salesperson brought were like that. Decided to just get them. The sneakers were $150 and with tax they came out to $163.31. I used the $125 reward card toward the purchase so I only spent $38.31 of my own money. That was a win for me. I will look them over again just in case to make sure nothing else wrong with them but I think I will keep them. As I was walking down the escalator I saw a pair of wide leg jeans from Nic + Zoe. I tried them on and they were a perfect fit. The price was $158. With tax they come out to $172.02. I was debating getting them but then caved in. I don’t have jeans like that and could use a pair. I used the $50 reward card, which left me with $122.02 to pay. I should’ve probably used my $25 reward card as well but I decided to leave it for next time. I earned another $25 in Lloyalist rewards for my purchases Friday so I now have $50 to use for future purchases.

Not sure if I had a lot of fun but glad my trip to the store wasn’t for nothing. I was tired because of the weather but it was still better than sitting home.

Sounds like you nearly have a new outfit. Do you have a cute top to wear? Always nice to save some for later.

The good thing about reward points is that you can use those as soon as you have enough points. It's so much fun to get the items you like and paying only a small amount.

In my case, what I paid for the jeans wasn’t a small amount. But at least I saved something.

I badly need some new trousers. I might buy online. It's easier really and mostly they fit okay apart from being a bit long.

@porwest well, I paid less than $40 for sneakers so that’s a steal. Jeans could’ve been cheaper. I kinda regret not using the other $25.
