Transfer came through

As I mentioned in my last post, I was looking to transfer to a new location in my company, and it finally went through. When things finally go through, they move fast, I will be starting in the new location on May 20. For those who missed in a few weeks back, I was saying how my son and I worked for the same company and our schedules worked out, so we worked together a few times a week, but he found a new job. Due to that I was looking to move to a closer location to my house. As it was about 40 miles away and there is a location that is about 17 miles from my home. I will be saving all that time and money on a much shorter dive now. That is like a mini raise in pay since I won’t be spending all that money on gas for the long drive. As you can guess I am happy about it and ready to save that time and money.

Glad to hear it. Yeah, the gas savings alone is probably worth it. It's come down a bit, but it's still not cheap by any means.

@Bensen32 Even better if you take the difference and chuck it into a high yield investment. lol

I'm happy for you that the transfer finally went through. I used to drive 19 miles one way to work. It could be a pain in the tush in bad weather.

@Bensen32 And more dangerous... I hated it in the winter when we had snow or ice. I was always afraid I'd go sliding off the road or someone would slide into me.

@DaddyEvil I'm more afraid of the other drivers than I am of myself

Yes a shorter commute is like an untaxed raise.
