Mother's Day cards

"Moms are like buttons, they hold everything together"
"I love you _____________"
This was the note inside the cards, I typed it and copied it and cut them out to be glued inside. Also on the inside was a solid heart.
I had seen a similar thing online and decided I had enough buttons to do it joyfully.
It was a process that involved choosing black or white and one of four colors of each of the hearts and up to ten buttons and counting them. We then did the best order of things, like writing on the inside paper before gluing it down. Gluing all the inside things before the buttons on the outside.
Sometimes the process and order was not followed, mostly by the staff who were excited to have a multitude of buttons to go through.
Each day we have a time where the kids work on doing fine motor tasks one way or another. With all the craziness that is going on with concerts, field day, field trips, and end of year progress reports I decided to help with the planning this week.
Friday we will decorate brown bags and put the plants inside, so we do not lose the dirt or spill them going home.
So that took care of three of the five days. On Monday the teacher read "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Flower" or something like that. She swallowed all ingredients to make a Mother's Day Unicorn. Today, Wednesday, was field day. Those of us who were in the room did a color collage of an Easter Egg.
So in spite of the downpour we had a bright and cheery week.

Those are cute Mother's Day cards and I like the idea about taking the plants/cups home in a bag so they don't get spilled.
It's been chilly, rainy and windy here today. I don't blame you for wanting to stay inside and work in the classroom.

That is what we had for field day yesterday. Rain. . . so it moved inside. We are fortunate to have a Sports and Aquatic Center across the way.

@GardenGerty I agree, you are fortunate to have that. We certainly don't have anything like that here.
It's raining again here today.

@DaddyEvil Today, Thursday, it has been clear. I should have mowed after work, but did not. We did the bags today, due to having an assembly tomorrow during the time we would have done it.

It is sometimes noisy, but most of our kids in our program are non verbal.

In the US that is correct. That is why we are doing these projects.
