Back from the sauna

Not really. I just had a bath but the water was much too hot. I'll have to adjust the water heater now that it's warmer weather. I have it set a little higher in the winter.
I can never get the water temp just right: it's either too hot or too cold, and that's because there's just one knob.

Why do you reset the temp of your hot water? We've never adjusted ours.
We only have a single knob in the shower, too. I adjust it and check the temp before climbing into the shower.

I adjust the temp on the water heater because it's too chancy to get it 'just right' with the tap alone. When the air is cold (winter) I freeze in what would be warm enough in the summer when the air is warmer.
And I hate taking showers.

@BarBaraPrz Oh, I see... I don't like baths because I'm too tall to fit comfortable in a tub.

I love that!!
I live in low income housing. That sort of thing happens on occasion.

Yow! Cold showers?
Do you live in an old English boarding school?

It is annoying: it's either cold or hot. The middle should be somewhere inbetween, but it doesn't always work that way.

@BarBaraPrz - I experienced that problem in our previous apartment, with an electric heater.

When I update the main bathroom, I want to get one of those shower heads that keeps the temp at a certain point that you choose.

Sometimes 'old' technology is better than the 'new! improved!' type. With two taps, it is easier to adjust the flow.

@BarBaraPrz Yes the shower has one control; and it's really hard to adjust the temp.

Sounds like a bit frustrating ! The adjuster should be a key-press with + and - on it.

It should be two separate taps, in my opinion.

Especially with this type of tap. It starts with ''cold" and then I have to crank it over to the left to get "hot", which comes out full force, so the tub quickly fills up.
