This cardboard cut out is named NED. I understand he has been introduced in fifty states as well as internationally in the UK, Canada, Australia. Presenting along side Ned, was Ryan, who told a story accompanied by yo yo tricks. For any friends that do not know, a yo yo is a wooden spinning toy maneuvered by a string. Very simple yo yo ing is making it go down and spin back up the string and a whole lot more. This is a motivational assembly for the kids to make sure they Never give up (N) Encourage others (E) Do your best (D) He visits our school every two or three years. This assembly was Friday. It is funded by the sale of yo yo's.

The story always starts out with Ned not wanting to show up, then something happens. This time the aliens tried to abduct him.

They did. They were very engaged and well behaved. My kiddo liked the sound of the presenter's voice.

I haven't heard of him here but that doesn't mean anything. I am right out of touch with schools.

Even though they say he has traveled lots of places I do not think he is very well known. I like his positive message.

I remember I always loved assemblies. And this one sounds like a great one for the kids at this time in their lives. Yo-yo tricks are such funs to watch and a great way to get the attention of youngsters.
