Little Scare for a Little Person

This little guy gave everyone a scare last night/this morning. He started screaming last night late, and when my sister and brother-in-law went into the room where he and his sister, Annelyn, were (they were having a slumber party), he’s screaming his brain hurts. They thought maybe he was having an aneurysm so my BIL took him to the ER. After a CT scan they said he had had a massive migraine, but nothing else was wrong. They gave him pain medicine, and Hudson told my BIL to send a picture to his mom to show he wasn’t that sick anymore. They’ll see his regular doctor Thursday, and will ask if any of this has to do with him being on HGH, and if it does they want to take him off of it. It’s not worth it if it causes migraines. The poor kid already has fetal alcohol syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and is autistic. He doesn’t need migraines. As of this post, my sister said he’s in his room, sleeping with no light or sound. Please just remember to say a prayer for him. He’s a tough little guy who never complains, so this was pretty bad.

I will say a prayer for him. Yeah, I thought that HGH sounded like trouble. Even though he looks healthy with it, if it is going to cause those kinds of problems he should not be on it. He's a cutie.

Thanks, I appreciate that. They thought with him being on it for four months already with no side effects they were all good. But like you said, if he is going to go through this he shouldn’t be on it. Those doctors aren’t the one seeing him scream in pain.

@AmbiePam It was probably good they tried it though, and he has seemed to get a benefit from it, so I guess it was worth it.

Poor Hudson. That must have been so scary for him having such pain and not knowing it was a migraine. I sincerely hope migraines are not something he's going to have to deal with and I will definitely add him to my prayers. I'm really glad he's resting and it wasn't something way more serious.

Poor little guy—that must have been so frightening for everyone. I’m so sorry he had to go through that, especially with everything else he’s already dealing with. I truly hope this migraine was just a one-time thing and not something ongoing. Sending prayers for comfort, healing, and answers from his doctor. He sounds like an incredibly strong and brave kid.

He's a cutie. How old is he and just how small is he that he needs HGH? I didn't know migraines could be detected by CTs.

@BarBaraPrz He grew 3/4 of an inch, and his shoe size went up one size. That doesn’t sound like a big difference, but it was what they predicted in a six month outlook, and it’s been 4 months.

@AmbiePam Yay! I wouldn't mind getting back 3/4 of an inch.

@AmbiePam 5'4" is taller than I am but yeah, very short for a guy. Has he had any noticeable growth yet?

Keeping him in my thoughts. And yes, no lights and as little sound as possible is always good for a migraine.

Migraines are AWFUL things. I would cry and throw up and be in pain and couldn't move and it had to be dark. Awful, awful things.

Oh, I sympathize. I’ve heard mothers say their migraines are worse than childbirth.

I'm sorry to hear this. How thoughtful of him to ask that a photo be sent to his Mom. I hope they're able to control the migraines or better still, eliminate them.

I am so sorry. No, he doesn't need migraines!!! I will remember to pray for him for sure. Poor little fellow...he was scared from the pain. Hopefully, the doc can figure out what is causing it and he won't have any more!!
