I am glad Careers on Wheels was in the morning. It was still blazing hot.
Today we reached 91. I turned on the air conditioner during supper.
We had a taco meat with veggies added in meal. So in the meat were red and green bell peppers, corn, onions, cauliflower, broccoli and black beans. I had gotten a sample in the mail of a healthy seasoning that had all the usual taco seasoning plus porcini mushroom powder.
WE had chips or soft street taco shells, guacamole, extra sharp cheddar and sour cream.
There is plenty of this for the weekend as well.
I want to make sure I am ready for tomorrow, so I cannot be here long.
Tomorrow is an all day field trip.

The field trip was fun. We went to The Old Cowtown Museum and then to Botanica. You would love Botanica. Weather really cooled down after that one hot day.

It was only Wednesday that was so hot. The weather for the field trip was very nice. It is cool this week.

So far that is the only really hot day we have had. I know more will be coming. The weather was perfect and balmy for the field trip.

We prefer soft tacos to the hard crunchy ones. We did not have any more 90's weather since that one day, but it will be coming.

We just had that one really hot day. We have had cooler days since then and thunderstorms. We did not get the tornadoes here where I am, although some out west of us did.

We also reached 91F this afternoon. We stayed in the house with the air running. (I stepped out long enough to bring in the mail and came right back inside.)
You're supper sounds delicious! I'm sure you both enjoyed it.
I hope you have fun on the field trip tomorrow. Just be careful. It's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow than it was today.
I've laid out hamburger and sausage and told Pretty I wanted some sloppy Joes for dinner tomorrow night. (I'll have to run to the store and get some hamburger buns but can do that in the morning while it's still cool outside.)

Evidently that day was a total anomaly. We have had pleasant to cool days since. People around have had some storms as well.
