Touch wood, we have not seen ants, reptiles and mice around here for months
That used to be a nuisance and that took a lot of our time and energy to eradicate them
I noticce I do not even see garden pests and that was a worry too
As for reptiles we just were careful but with rats we have poisoned them. We used NOTIX for ants.
What could be the reason for this?

Read this article and see if you have any of these items at your house to repel lizards. Good luck!

@DaddyEvil I once bought a lizard repellant spray on Amazon...didn;t work...The thing is when I sprayed it, they would hide in nooks and crannies and then come out again. I will try onion and garlic spray

I’ve lived here 12 years now. Never had an ant or a rodent. Windows are screened and I have tight well fitting storm doors. I’ve seen one tree lizard in 12 years and it was down by one of the lakes way far from the house. I have opened the door before when it was raining and a tiny tree frog hopped in—they are about the size of a little fingernail. Cute, yes. I chased it down and put it back outside.

@MarieCoyle Have you heard of the expression 'As poor as the church mice'? That is because in the good old days the mice got nothing in the church kitchens but now it is a different matter

If my house is not attractive to bugs and rodents, I certainly don’t have any problems with that!

Once you kill the ant queen, it can take a few months for a new queen to move in and start a new colony. We use diatomaceous earth scattered thinly to get rid of them.
We haven't seen mice or rats at this house but have traps for them if we do find any signs of them around.
There are little lizards here but they stay outside in the forest at the back of the yard. I've never seen any of them inside a house.

@allknowing We don't have houseflies, either. We have screens over our windows and doors to keep them out.

The only thing I'm dealing with is bees that hover around my deck.

I think it's always helpful if nothing is left out that would provide food for them. I can't think why else they have disappeared.
