What A Day

What a day today was.
No, not a great day.
It was a break-down day, a day to leave me questioning what will happen next. And on top of that, today, which is Tuesday, is actually more like a Monday as yesterday was Victoria Day, a statutory holiday here in Canada.
I spend my lunch break putting away laundry that I did this morning, and myLotting just a bit. Before going back to work, I moved the chairs from around the table so that I could run the robot vacuum. I turned that on and closed my door to work away.
It wasn't very long afterwards when I didn't hear anything and checked to see where the vacuum was. I saw it sitting on the docking station, charging. That made me wonder as it hadn't done enough to wear down the battery-but whatever was all that came to mind. I put the coffee pot on to enjoy my afternoon coffee when the time came.
When that time came, the vacuum, which I had sent back out to do the work, was back on the charging dock and the coffee pot light was on, but there was no life serum in the pot. The element under the pot was not even warm.
YIKES!!! I could really use that cup as my vacuuming now wasn't done.
Long story short. When my husband dumped the water out of the reservoir out came a measuring spoon. I cannot believe that I didn't notice that a couple of years ago when I bought this, and even then, why did it not affect the pump in the past? Must be a Monday on a Tuesday thing I thought.
I asked him about the vacuum, and he suggested that the dock wasn't pushed in all of the way into the wall socket. I found that strange too, because there is a small table in that area and the plug isn't used for anything else. But, then I realized it had to be a Monday on a Tuesday thing.
I am still blown away about the little plastic measuring cup in the reservoir for the coffee maker. Do the makers of these little devices do that intentionally so that they do burn out quickly?
How was your day today?

How strange .I guess it probably talks about it in the little booklet that came with the pot.

I enjoyed my day working at home putting out the trash from the garbage cans and working on sharing news stories and completing surveys.

I am sorry for these things happening to you Julia..what a strange day you had.
Well the coffeepot thing reminded me of a funny thing that happened to us once when moving..one of numerous times as you know..moving is our name.
We had a kettle and when moving somehow a neck brace got into it..and I boiled the water and didn't notice it was in there...funny.

That is funny.
Thanks for the laugh.
Today was challenged as well, Bell, who is my internet and cellular provider had a huge outage for over an hour this morning. But I powered through it and remained ready to log into my work laptop when the internet was back up again.

I remember this one coming with 2 scoops, now I am realizing that the machine never should have worked with a plastic spoon in the reservoir. I cannot understand how it never was discovered before.
I did get the vacuum to go later on after it charged. I am glad that I did not pay full price for this vacuum, it is really good on the carpeting, but the other surfaces it doesn't do as well on. I cannot use it in the bathroom because it doesn't fit between the toilet and the wall, and that area needs to be vacuumed also.

The robot vacuum here has mixed reviews....some say it gets stuck under the sofa or bed as its dark under there.

They can get stuck in tight spaces.
We have a couch with recliners on either end and we cannot have the footrest up or it will get under there and under the couch. We also have to keep a little box on either end of the couch so that it doesn't go behind it.

I really disliked Monday Tuesdays at school as well, as the kids often seemed off kilter. Today is Wednesday and I hope things are all evened out.

I'm sorry you are having so much stuff going on. I'm doing okay though my computer is having an issue. I drove out to buy a couple of fans from a guy and ran into a delightful rural area that I hadn't known about. So the drive was a treat.

I am pleased with how it cleans the carpeting, but not the hard surfaces.
Losing that coffee maker was a shock.
It was such a high priced maker, and it lasted us so long.
But I don't want to cry over spilled milk, I replaced the coffee maker and still have my canister vacuum cleaner. I have been using it all along as there are spaces that the robot could not reach.
