Two separate deliveries for one order

On Thursday I ordered toilet paper from Target. I got three 24-mega rolls packs. They were supposed to arrive today.
To my surprise one arrived yesterday. The rest should come today. I got an email that they are out for delivery. They all shipped from the same location. I wonder why they couldn’t ship it together.
Now I’ve got a dilemma. I was planning on spending the day in Manhattan. Wonder if I should hold off on that and wait for the toilet paper to arrive so I can bring it inside the house. It doesn’t say it will rain but the forecast shows cloudy skies.

I’m waiting for now but I may just bounce. I really don’t want to stay home today. And they didn’t give a time window of the delivery so I could be waiting all day.

@porwest I had to wait till about noon thankfully.
I remember when I was ordering something from Walmart they actually asked me what day I want items delivered.

If you know one of you neighbors and don't think they'd mind, you could always ask them to keep watch and take your delivery into their house until you got home later today...

Thankfully it didn’t rain. Package came around noon so didn’t have to wait that long.

Maybe they were too big to ship together??? I don't know. I hope you get the other deliveries OK.

One pack was in a box by itself. The other two packs were in a separate box. Even if two things can’t go into one box and there is a need for two boxes it’s weird it didn’t come at the same time if it left the same location.

@LindaOHio At least in my case my boxes were full. I hate when the box is huge but what’s inside isn’t that big.

@lovebuglena Walmart is famous for shipping things separately and in big boxes. Such a waste.
