Some people either don't like water or forget about it. We tend to forget that our bodies are mostly made up of water, and we need it for each organ to do its job. Water also flushes out toxins, helps digestion, wards off constipation and trouble pooping, stops kidney stones from forming, and hydrates the skin. Here are a few other things you might want to keep in mind: * If you get a lot of your water from plastic container be sure they are BPA free. This is short for chemical bisphenol A. It is used in a lot of products and too much exposure can lead to birth defects as well as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. * The minimum daily amount of water needed is 11.5 cups (8 ounces) for women and 15.5 cups for men. * Some people enjoy adding a slice of lemon or fruit to their water. Just be sure that the item is cleaned before adding itor there could be the risk of salmonella and E.coli. * Instead of drinking just enough water to swallow your pills with, drink a full glass; with this amount, you are less apt to have the pills stick and irritate your esophagus. * Sometimes, feeling fatigued midday can be a sign of dehydration. You lose water every day just through basic body functions such as breathing and pooping. You don't have to be sick or exercise hard to lose water from your body. * Good sources of water can be found in foods like watermelon, cucumbers, carrots, iceberg lettuce, celery, cauliflower, tomatoes, soup, strawberries, yogurt, grapefruit, and oatmeal. * Experts recommend no more than one liter of water per hour. Find times during the day to refresh with a glass. There is no evidence that chugging a gallon when you first wake up will kickstart your metabolism.

The minimum daily amount of water needed is 11.5 cups (8 ounces) for women and 15.5 cups for men. Clarified, this does NOT mean you need to drink this amount of water daily. This figure also includes water you get from food and beverages.

My mom always thought I drank too much water. I think I just naturally did when I was younger. Now I have a hard time taking the time and thought to do so. Sadly, I mostly drink coffee. Or tea.

There is some water in those two choices but not nearly enough. I hope you can work a couple of glasses of water into your routine.

I drink a gallon and a half over the course of a 24 hour period. My doctor told me that's plenty of water for my size.

I've found a glass of water sometimes helps if you have a headache too.

I usually drink at least 2L of water a day and it has been a habit of mine to drink warm water on an empty stomach upon waking up and then a glass of water 45mins or an hour before bed.

As far as I know I drink iced tea during the day, also juice, and some soda if I have it then always iced cold water I have by my bed at night, Other times I have cold lemon water in the morning, I don't try to figure out how much or how little,
