A while ago I just felt a bump in the space between my thumb and index finger. It is pimple like but filled with water and it is itchy. It is sitting there alone with no other bump, and trying to catch my attention. And it did because the moment I had a glimpse of it, it started itching more.
I am sorry but I pricked it with needle and removed the fluid inside now it is red and still itchy. I wonder what is this? Of course, I put alcohol on the bump and the needle before and after pricking.

I think it could be an insect which you didn't noticed. If the problem continues, you should visit the doctor

I did some research on the net and founfd this info. It mat help but l think you should consult a doc to be more sure.
Small, itchy, watery bumps on your hands could be caused by several different conditions. Here are the most common possibilities:
1. Dyshidrotic Eczema (Pompholyx)
• Symptoms: Small, fluid-filled blisters that are intensely itchy. They often appear on the sides of the fingers, palms, or soles of the feet.
• Triggers: Stress, sweating, allergens (like nickel), or moisture.
• Treatment: Topical steroids, keeping hands dry, avoiding triggers.
2. Contact Dermatitis
• Symptoms: Itchy rash or blisters after contact with an irritant or allergen (e.g., soaps, detergents, plants, latex).
• Treatment: Avoiding the trigger, topical corticosteroids, antihistamines.
3. Scabies
• Symptoms: Intense itching (especially at night), small bumps or burrows, often between fingers, wrists, or other warm areas.
• Cause: Infestation by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite.
• Treatment: Prescription creams (like permethrin), treating close contacts and linens.
4. Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease (in children/adults)
• Symptoms: Small red spots or blisters on the hands, feet, and inside the mouth. Often accompanied by fever or sore throat.
• Cause: Viral infection (usually Coxsackievirus).
• Treatment: Supportive (hydration, rest); it usually resolves on its own.
5. Heat Rash (Miliaria)
• Symptoms: Tiny, itchy red bumps or clear blisters caused by blocked sweat glands.
• Common in: Hot, humid conditions.
• Treatment: Cooling the skin, wearing breathable fabrics.
When to See a Doctor
• If the bumps spread or don’t improve in a few days
• If they’re very painful or become crusty or pus-filled (sign of infection)
• If accompanied by fever or other symptoms

I have had similar reaction occasionally after hand washing dishes and perhaps not getting all the soap off. That would fall in with"contact dermatitis" that @rsa101 mentioned.

Was it itching and you noticed it because you scratched at it? Were you scratching it for a while before you looked and realized you had a bump on your skin?

It looks like a ganglion cyst but I'm not a doctor. I had one on my right index finger for years. It was caused by the stresses of the work I was doing. When I stopped doing that type of work, it gradually disappeared.

I am not sure if it was the same as what I had in my finger and we also pricked it with needle and forced the liquid out.

Wow. @rsa101 did a lot of research. I hope that you can see a doctor and/or that it starts to feel better.

People can get small blisters easily from detergents, cleaning solutions, etc as well as just normal little incidents that happen to our skin that we don’t even feel. Put a dab of antiseptic on it and it will hopefully be well in a day or two.
