My Small Escape from Anxiety

Hi everyone, I'm new to MyLot, and this is my first post. I have social anxiety and sometimes struggle with communication, so I might make mistakes or say things a little awkwardly. But I really want to try. I wanted to share a few photos of things that feel like quiet magic to me. When my anxiety and social fears take over, these little things help me breathe again — even just for a moment... Just small, gentle reminders that the world still has softness, even when my mind is loud. They help me feel safe. They help me come back to myself. Do you have anything like that? Something small and personal that helps you feel a bit more okay — even if the world feels too big sometimes? I'd love to hear about it.

Hello and welcome to Mylot Do not worry about making mistakes or saying things awkwardly. I can see from your photos what you mean about quiet magic. I saw your town on the news the other night. I hope this cruel Russian invasion ends soon. Our garden became.our sanctuary during lockdown. It kept us sane and to be honest with you it drew us closer together and showed us how much we really enjoyed each others company My motorcycles also provide me with some mind peace.

You have a wonderful family, and they’re very lucky to have you. It’s beautiful that you grew even closer during such a difficult time. Being able to simply be together and truly enjoy each other’s company is a rare and precious gift.

@Ineeddentures It's funny to realize how life circumstances can be so surprising. I used to think that war was truly one of the main factors that influence life — after all, it's terrifying to constantly live in a place where there are bombings, people shouting in their homes, and people dying. But it turned out that there are things even more frightening — for example, my dad's cancer, because of which he can no longer walk, my mom's despair, and the hardships of elderly people.

Welcome to MyLot. I do have things I do when I feel not so good. 1. Listen to my favorite songs - Spring Day, Answer: Love Myself by BTS band 2. Watch Korean dramas - Descendants of the Sun, etc. 3, looking at my collection of pictures, like this one:

That's great. One time I loved Korean dramas and their music too.. Even tried to learn Korean language... And that is also make me feel calm and safe... Sometimes think that... Those Korean dramas saved my life after strong depression... Still remember that the strongest influence on my made this kind of drama : The Master's Sun and I hear your voice....

Welcome to MyLot! We have a lot of Ukrainians living in the UK who have escaped from the war. I admire you for staying and toughing it out. It must be hell. IMHO, the world isn’t doing enough to stop Putin carrying out this terrible crime. He is nothing but a murderer who needs holding to account. I’m glad you can find some solace in these difficult times. Music and nature is my go to.

I don't know about you but I will be worrying now about this young lady's safety and wondering if she is ok and moreso if she doesn't appear here for a couple of days.

@Ineeddentures thanks... Please don't worry.. Since the war began, God has always been in my heart and has always protected me. And even if He allows something terrible to happen, I simply accept it with a peaceful soul and do only what depends on me. Paradise is always within me, no matter what's happening around me.

Hi there, Welcome to my lot. I have anxiety too due to my stomach illness. Sometimes I see that people are a threat for me. When I feel that, I just walked all alone and make my self sweat. I feel a little bit release after that. Seeing the surrounding and take a deep breath help a lot.
