Outside time

I mowed the front yard, pulled some weeds, and then I went downtown to Zogies.
He is a very small shop and did not have what I wanted, but I will look at a larger grower on Sunday.
I did get some red, white, and blue vinca to put in two planters. Also some dusty miller.
In my van I had some seeds of Stella d'Oro I gave him. He gave me plants of purple bean climbers. Guess I will have more outside time tomorrow.
Just wait til another post when I tell you what the cardiologist's office has been up to next. I will have to put it up later. Bob is cooking brats for us to have for supper. We also will have a triple berry blend with yogurt. It is time to eat.

These are not an edible bean. I forget exactly what they are called, but they climb and have pretty purple flowers.

@GardenGerty I thought they were like a Scarlet Runner bean. Those are lovely and also edible.

It was very good. I ate too many chips with it though. Standing around and talking makes me sore. I think I need to take a folding stool with me when I go visit Zogie.

I definitely did have a good meal and the cardinals, at least the male, kept me entertained. He is all over the place where I weeded and mowed earlier. Usually it is the robins in the mown grass.

I want snap dragons and petunias. Zogie says there is a wilt disease in our town that keeps on killing regular petunias. Some varieties can withstand it but your run of the mill petunias catch it from the wind blowing through town. He says when our town was founded that petunias were chosen as the town flower.

@GardenGerty I have petunias. Never had a problem with them here. Didn't get any snap dragons this year
