I did not recognise the number

I do not answer the phone for unknown numbers. I know if it is important the caller will leave a message. She did leave a message. It seems that Bethany, from Insite Home Health Care called me because my cardiologist is not returning her calls, and she needs some information. The doctor faxed some of the lab work and notes from my recent appointment to the Home Health agency.. Actually it was probably his staff, under his direction, BUT there were no instructions about what he wanted them to do. This was all news to me. I told her I am not needing home health services at all, and it is very typical of this cardiology clinic NOT to return calls promptly, and NOT to get information correct and she can relax and quit wasting her time. Bethany said she was relieved, as she thought she was going crazy. I AM going crazy with this cardiologist. I am going to ask my doctor for a referral to the doctor Bob sees for cardiology. It would make sense to me to do this anyway. So this is my other post I mentioned I would need to put up.

Getting feed backs from doctors in becoming more and more hard. I hope you can find another cardiologist soon.

My primary care says I do not necessarily need a cardiologist anyway. I will be talking to her in two days.

@GardenGerty - How can your primary care be so sure?! Anyway better to be checked than to be sorry later.

Getting a referral would help help here.

Your doctor shouldn't be sharing any information about you without your express permission. I'd say you need a new cardiologist, too.

Yeah. I will talk to my primary on Monday. She will be interested to hear about these mess ups.

@GardenGerty I'm sure she'll have something to say about it, at any rate. Good luck!

Why didn't you ask to be referred to Bob's cardiologist in the first place?

I made the mistake of assuming that would be what my Primary would do. He may not have been taking new patients or may not accept my insurance. I will straighten it out on Monday.

From what I understand. Please let me know if I'm wrong, but I assume that ALL doctor consultations are always by appointment, except in extreme cases. Also, it's quite unusual to be changing cardiologists in the middle of the treatment. I think getting notices without your knowledge is not good. You have reacted appropriately.

Generally you do have an appointment. The exceptions would be emergency care, urgent care or walk in clinic. I am not currently being treated for anything. Each time this doctor says to come for an appointment it is for a day that does not exist (like Monday, September 16, when that is actually a Wednesday) or I am told to go to the wrong location (offices in several locations) or he is prescribing a medicine that is not ever prescribed and my primary care has to go into my records and prescribe it instead. Etc. Now it is (maybe) sending home health, which I do not need.

@GardenGerty I see. It's good to be aware of things. Unlike me, I am so scatterbrained nowadays, I even forget my next doctor's visit.

My friend Jane has also changed. If I cannot get in to see Bob's cardiologist I can go to hers.

Ah I understand it now. What do Home Health Services entail? The way.you talk about all the.things you do, you must be doing ok As I said before You have more get up and go than some people half your age and actually you are quite inspiring

Home health services could be physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound dressing, bathing assistance etc. Think about someone recovering from a stroke or surgery. I have done home health for others. Sometimes my "get up and go" has "got up and went" but mostly my work and church, etc. keep me active.

@GardenGerty We have the same sort of home help here provided by the NHS. Hopefully we will never need it. get up and go" has "got up and went" That's good, I like that
