Little pigs are cute too

I’ve been chatting lately about cats in bookstores and dogs in dog parks. As kids (goat kids) are so cute and friendly, I suggested that a goat park would be nice and maybe even a pig park as little pigs are pretty cute too. So what should turn up on last night’s news but a place where about eight piglets were climbing all over a lady and giving her big slobbery kisses. Of course, today I can’t find any more about it on my news site. I don’t even know what country it was. But it’s still a good idea. The photo is mine of diving pigs. Please don’t tell me it’s cruel. There is no way these little fellows would charge down that ramp and leap off so readily if they weren’t happy about it.

Young piglets are very cute. I loved to go to see the babies at my uncle's farm. Pigs swim and enjoy water and can use swimming as a way to cool off.

I am a vegetarian. Not because I was born one, or have a bleeding heart, but because I don't relish non veg. That is hard to explain to others who love meat. So over the years, I have tried to find reasons not to eat meat sanely. LOL. I am in love with cow's eyes. Even buffaloes. I love their calves. When they allow me near them, that is. I love feeding the goats too. Knowing fully well that they will die soon enough and be on someone's table. I treat it as let them be happy eating while they can. As to chicken, I unfortunately see them alive and watching other chicken being killed right in front of them. That feels and sounds like Auschwitz, but ...well, that is how I feel about it. I love pigs. I adore them. I have heard their cries while the nuns tried to kill them once every year. Extremely painful cries. As to chicken, I do buy for my dad...and dogs. Stray dogs are not always vaccinated, right? They also don't get clean water. So they need better food. They also don't get enough food as per the prescribed standard. I know my reasoning is not as bad as that of Nazis. But I have experienced love and trust from chicks too. My aunts and others were surprised when chicks came to eat from my palms. I am sorry hope god forgives me. So there...I don't judge you. The pig is doing public relations show to survive being sent to a slaughter house. Whoever is helping them do that, is a great soul.

@sallypup I am fine with eating eggs though I am allergic to it. I can't even eat cakes. :( If the thing can cry or make sound or love or get scared, then it needs to be cherished and cared for ..that is the rule for me. Only if there are no alternatives or if it is needed for health reasons, it is fine to eat these. My rule is only for me. I wouldn't judge another person as bad if they don't follow my rule. Their rules for them. They grew up eating meat. It would be wrong to ask them to stop. They could get health problems. sharks don't cry ..they don't get scared ...tigers don't cry...they don't get scared. gators don't cry ..they don't get scared...snakes don't cry...they don't get scared. These are lower creatures. I would be fine if they were killed. these cannot love. Wonder if people eat gator meat tiger meat ...shark meat or python meat.

@vandana07 When I had hens I would call to them like I call my cats and dogs. The hens would come to me just like the cats and dogs. My family doesn't eat meat either. Why is a cat protected and not a cow? I have had pet cows, too.

I understand all the reasons why you don't want to eat meat. I was born on a farm and I guess I got used to animals being killed for meat. We never ate our pets though as in pet lambs.

They seemed to be having the time of their lives! I don't want to think about what happened when they got too big to do it any more.

What are they? Maybe little ones? Or do you mean they've just been weaned from their Mum?

@JudyEv Good question. Weiner pigs were about 8 to 9 weeks old and ready to be on their own.

They had dogs diving later but I think that was competition. I can't remember now how it was judged.

I think they can be house-trained. I know they always use one corner of their yard if it's a decent size. But they grow too big for most houses.

Pigs can jump and that they are really more agile and stronger than man. We had once trapped a wild boar in a public park for 2 days to prevent it from escaping and harm ordinary citizens. It managed to disappear under our eyes and never appeared again.
