How well do you remember your childhood days?

My brother and I are very different when it comes to remembering our childhood days. He is one year younger than I am. I have memories as far back aged 2 or 3, from before we moved to Italy for a year. I remember riding our Jr. Electra Kiddy Cars down the steeply sloped sidewalk and turning "hard left" into our driveway to stop. I remember getting "lost' (probably for all of 30 seconds) in a big plaza in Venice. I can even remember "what I was thinking" when certain things happened before I was six.
My brother says he remembers nothing from our early days.
Do you have memories of your early childhood days? Are there certain "gaps" in your memories? I can clearly remember first and second grade, but I can hardly remember third grade, right before we moved from Berkeley CA to Chicago IL.

Yes, I have memories of my early childhood days. I remember putting the pacifier in the mouth of my little brother (18 months younger) to keep him quiet. I remember my days in school and most of the names of my classmates. I surely have forgotten something, but I do not have important "gaps".

@TheHorse I remember my first grade teachers name. Her name was Miss Berry. I don't remember what she actually looked like. I don't have a school picture of first grade. I think a picture was taken but I was a sickly kid and missed a bunch of days and missed the day the picture was taken.

I seem to be like you.
I remember 1st grade and 2nd grade quite well
3rd grade not so much
And 4th and 5th grade not at all.
No idea why.
So there really are gaps in my memory.
I have no idea if my brother who is 2 years younger than me remembers things any better

@Ineeddentures I think I may remember my "early days" in a new place better than after I have been there for a few months or years.

I have no idea why there is that gap in .y.memkry.
I don't think we moved anywhere during those 2 years but school and everything else in those 2 years is a total blank

Very well, I don't remember some things from young adulthood as well as I do my childhood.

@TheHorse Sometimes it seems that way..and the older you get the faster time seems to pass, except summer heat that seems to drag on forever.

@snowy22315 Heh. We have some hot days here in the Summer. But it's a fairly dry heat.

I have always been the one with a good memory in my family. My sister often calls me to ask me about things such as the kind of material that the uniform shirt had.

@TheHorse Now that I´m old I remember a lot more what happened decades ago than what happened yesterday

Yes I have some memories from my early childhood days. One in particular is a game my sister and I made up as we played with our dolls. Not too long ago I mentioned it to my sister and asked if she remembered the game and she said no.

I remember some things and some things are fuzzy in my memories. I think my problem is that very little changed for me when I was little until I reached around ten years old when we got bikes and started riding them all over the country. Before that, we rode horses everywhere. (We still rode horses after we got the bikes but that's the dividing line before/after.)

@TheHorse It really was but we had just as much fun riding bikes all over, too.

I remember a lot of things from when I was a kid, as a lot of "things" happened. A lot of the memories though are just pieces.

Here's what I remember: I remember walking down the street to the library with my grandmother. I remember having two front doors. Some time later those two doors became only one. I remember taking trips to chicken shows with my grandfather and grandmother. I remember telling stories on those trips.

I have one memory from when I was in my crib. Sporadic memories from then on. I remember sitting in my high chair watching Soupy Sales, etc. Interesting that you were in Italy. Both my parents were born there. Cute picture.

You have a remarkable memory. I can also remember some aspects of my early years, but I'm not really sure how old I was at the time. I only remember being young and seeing myself at that age, but I don't know how old I was at the time. When I started school, I could clearly remember everything, but when I was a toddler or maybe a preschooler, I can only remember bits and pieces of it and I'm not sure how old I was.
