New Month, New Neighbors and Sunshine

Happy Monday Everyone! a new month and the sun is shining!! Looks like a pretty decent week ahead with sun and temperatures that might hit 90 degrees F. Well, my favorite neighbor across the street moved over the weekend and the new people are moving in. So far there are three cars parked in front of my house, a big black pickup truck in their driveway with a POD. In case you aren't familia with a POD it's a big moving container that will move you from destination to destination. I've never used one but it seems to be a good alternative to a moving company except you have to load and unload the POD yourself. I'm hoping half the cars that are parked here are only helpers and that they aren't going to be a permanent fixture in front of my house. Aside from all the outside activity there isn't much else going on. I started a new box for donation over the weekend. I only decided to keep half of the cookbooks and the rest are in the donation box. Got a nice set of bookends to use for keeping the cookbooks on the shelf of the new bakers rack. It's looking pretty nice and well organized as my daughters coffee bar. She's definitely turning into a coffee snob whereas my measly coffee brewer looks lonely on the kitchen counter and it's daily blend of Folgers. Even though her flavored coffees smell way better than mine every morning, I still abide by the old saying "the best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup" That about sums up what's happening here this morning. How's things in your little corner of the myLot world?

I remember when we moved in 2018 we used a moving pod, it was great, and our son used one when he did his big move, just not the last time, since well.......Dad was free-he even rented the big moving vehicle. Today was a lovely, sunny day here finally. We got into the mid 20's which is in the mid 70's I think on your scale. Grandpa was taking the girls to a birthday party for a little girl from the playgroup which was being held in a park, they have a lovely afternoon for it. Me, I'm on my own to fend for supper tonight. I might go to Wendy's for a apple pecan salad with chicken on it. I feel tired from work today.

@Marilynda1225 The salad was nice. I have some left for my lunch today. The birthday party was alot of fun, and too big to hold in a home he said, so the park was just the perfect setting, and kids love playing at a park. What we liked about the moving pod was that we paid for the delivery and then we paid a very small monthly fee, and then paid for the pick up and delivery when we were ready to leave the property. It was very economical. It also allowed us to load it over the course of a few weeks and not in one day. We rented moving trucks when we were younger, and filled them and drove to the new house and emptied them and returned the truck all in one day. We have also had movers, that was a nice way to go, but expensive compared to the alternatives.

That salad from Wendy's sounds really good and quick & easy. Hope the girls enjoyed the birthday party and the weather certainly was beautiful for an outside celebration. I've seen people use those pods around here. Guess it's a better alternative than hiring a moving company?

We have sunshine today but the rest of the week shows rain/storms into the weekend. It IS supposed to be in the 80s this week, though. Have a great day!

More rain and storms for you this week? I think your weather has been worse than mine. At last our week looks sunny and warm until the weekend and then rain AGAIN.

New neighbours. We got a new neighbour. He seems ok. 90 degrees. No thank you Marilyn, way too hot for me I have never really had flavored coffee. I put some milk on mine, does that count as flavored?

Glad your new neighbor is nice. Hopefully mine will be too. Yup 90 degrees is too hot for me too but I shouldn't complain after all the days of complaining about the rain and chilly spring we've had. Nope, I wouldn't consider milk flavored coffee. My daughter has all exotic (well to me they are) flavores....chocolate raspberry, coconut, salted caramel. They do smell delicious when she makes them but I prefer my boring old cup of black coffee

@Marilynda1225 Black coffee is not boring. Quite acceptable and exciting if you haven't got any milk.

I have read too many online stories about entitled neighbors parking everywhere. I sure hope like you said that this is just the helpful crew.

With all the complaining about rain and cold weather I guess we'll all be saying how hot it is pretty soon. O don't know which I hate more....winter with all it's cold and snow or summer with the heat and humidity.
