Well morning anyway. It was fine until I got pulled over on the way to work. A cop was scanning plates and nailed me for expired registration. I could have sworn I renewed it but apparently not.
Meanwhile the secretary was texting me to cover classes. I called her to tell her that I would be late and couldn’t do per 1. She asked how long it would take so I told her I had no clue. She said she would rather I just get here late and get paid to do it so here I am out on the turf.
The cop gave me a ticket and said he was doing me a favor and not impounding my car so I could get to work. So at least today’s 2 coverages will help to pay for the ticket.
2 hours of tutoring after work so that should cover registration renewal. What an exciting life I lead.
What’s everyone else up to today?
Picture is the modern version of “physical education”

Isn't your registration renewal date the same as your birthday as it is here? Hard to forget your own birthday.

Nope... Registration is when you buy your current car or you can extend the registration from your last car. They send out registration notices at the beginning of the month you bought your car in and you have until the end of that month to get new tags on your car.

@BarBaraPrz — it depends on the state, I guess. In Kentucky our plates are done by birthday, for regular plates. Specialty plates are in a different month. (I have a specialty plates, so it’s not in my birth month.)

Wow, I’m sorry. New Jersey will get you coming and going with money, won’t they.
My license story: I have the “informed delivery” service from the post office, and last week I saw my license renewal post card coming in the mail. Before it even arrived I’d renewed it.

I'm sorry about the ticket. Getting that registration sticker renewed is something that many people forget to do. Yes, go get it ASAP, I am glad the policeman let you go to work!

Pulled over by the fuzz!!
You naughty teacher.
My kinda girl, lol
I forgot to road tax one of my bikes and got pulled over and the cop didn't write me a ticket. He said it was easy done to forget and said he was giving me a friendly reminder.
Good cop.
I bet your life is quite exciting.

The last time I got pulled over, it was during the pandemic and the cops weren't supposed to pull anyone over for failure to register. They weren't mailing out registration notices. The judge threw the ticket out of (telephone) court and told me to get my car registered as soon as I could, which was after they lifted the mask policy.
It is 67F in my part of Missouri this morning. We're supposed to reach a high of 68F by late this afternoon. It has been storming most of the night and we have a cold rain falling now. We're supposed to keep getting rain off and on all day. We're still under a flood watch until tomorrow at noon.
Pretty wants to go grocery shopping this morning. She asked me to set an alarm for 9 am so we could shower and then head to the grocery store.
I hope the rest of your day turns out much better than this early morning did for you. Good luck!

Bummer. I'm glad they didn't impound your car. Nothing on the agenda today except to peruse the manual for my camera that I received from eBay.
