A confrontation chez horse. I won.

Something did not sound right. Kitty was making a "go away" sound. I thought she didn't want a date with Filipino Love Song Kitty tonight. But she likes Filipino Love Song Kitty. Her objection was too severe. I turned on my light and arose from my bed. Kitty was staring at the sliding glass door I went to the door and found a young raccoon, trying to become a part of our family. The raccoon just looked at me, neither defiant nor afraid. That is the way of raccoons. I explained to it in English that I was not mad at it but that it was not welcome to Kitty or her food. A naked American man talking in English to a raccoon. Perhaps I am crazy. But after a standoff of about 30 seconds, it climbed over the balcony railing, about three feet from me, and exited our premesis. I think raccoons are cool. They are smart and family-oriented. But I want them to understand that they are guests Chez Horse and Kitty .

I'm sure the raccoon already understood Kitty didn't want him visiting. When you came to the door and told him no, he took you at your word.

Kitty seems almost confused by raccoons. She is not afraid. But she doesn't (usually) tell them to go away either.

Raccoons don't seem to be afraid of anything, Kitty or humans. The raccoon had a funny story to tell his family when he got home. Hehe

My Filipino friend Ric does. I taught him the guitar chords to some. The chords are similar to our Western love songs.
