Confusion

I am so tired of change. I understand it has to happen, but I always get nervous about the new way of doing things. Housing has had a place online where we could go to pay our rent. It has been down for about a year. Finally, at the end of last month, we got a letter stating that it is fixed. I went on it and tried to pay my June rent. The new portal has you proving your bank account now. You have to check your account and they will put a little money in, then I will go find the amount and put that in the space in the new portal to prove my account is good. I thought I would remember where to go to put in the amount. I went back into the portal when the amount was put in my account and couldn't recall where to go. So, now, of course, the office is closed, so I can't call them for help. Next week, I may have to start all over again because that may be time-sensitive. I paid it this time with a check again because I didn't want to be late. They charge a late fee. Ugh! I do hate confusion and new stuff to get used to. Once I do it, all is fine.

When our landlady insisted we start paying rent online, I dropped off a check to pay rent like usual. She claimed we hadn't paid and charged a late fee. She also deposited my check...
After a month of arguing even after showing her the cancelled check, Pretty started paying the rent online.

@id_peace I've only used PayPal for online payments. My daughter uses some other ones but also uses my PayPal for some things. She transfers money into the apps from my bank account. (She's also on my bank account and we both put money into it.)

@DaddyEvil I do have paypal but interestingly it is not very popular in my country. I only use it for international transactions these days. There are times where if the person I knew and trust, I will ask for crypto payment instead.
