By Coincidence…

This month’s music theme is songs with moon in the title. So what happened to me yesterday?
I got MOONED.
By a STATUE.
This is the backside of the Mothman statue in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. As you can see in the other photo, the Mothman Museum proudly (??) sells t-shirts devoted to members of the “Shiny Hiney Club,” touting that the back side of Mothman is “America’s second-most famous crack, next to the Liberty Bell.”
NO. I did not buy the shirt. The photo will do me nicely.
I warned y’all you were going to get “mooned” with the countdown. Now my travels have done it to you as well!!!
LEFT: Mothman Museum t-shirt
RIGHT: Back side of the Mothman statue. (I’ll show the front side in another discussion, but don’t worry, he’s not indecent in front.)

Ohhh, I heard about that stuff, only the Army brat I knew was from Kentucky and a friend of mine told me about it ..... back in 1968 girls weren't invited to trying that kinda stuff, at least not here during school hours .... I wanted to try some but my friend told me it tasted nasty and was way too strong

@rebelann — a friend of mine had a little mason jar of “the real stuff” (before it was legalized and distilled in Tennessee). I took a whiff of it. It took two years for my nose hairs to grow back.

OOh, so cool. I am tempted to go there just for the shirt. Point Pleasant probably isn't terribly far from sis's place.

Happy to fling a craving on you for the shirt. And, unlike Amazon, I don’t get a commission.

@Ineeddentures — as big an indecent as a big statue can be!

Flown away, I was flown away by butt cheeks. How funny that statue is.

He has red eyes, too, either really drunk or trying to take your attention off his butt.

@FourWalls Sounds something like a Marine would do, we killers, but don't look at my butt.

Not the first time, we have a really awfully gaudy mock-up of the David here.

I remember when some bigots wanted to "dress" the statues in Italy.

And a shiny one! I didn’t include “Sail Along Silv’ry Moon” on the list this month, but there it is!

An interesting view from the back from a statue called "Mothman."

The front is pretty interesting, too, with the red eyes.
