I have been writing here for years interacting with the community the world over. It is interesting to see how each of us have our likes and dislikes.
Earlier I never liked dark chocolate but after reading its praises I acquired the taste and now I look for products that are enriched with dark chocolate. I eat an ecclair every day that is loaded with dark chocolate
I have yet to like avocado that most here sing its praises And so too the dragon fruit. I am trying to like it by enriching with things that I like as I am told it is rich in nutrients.
I love tomatoes but there are quite a few here who have no liking for it
What are your likes and dislikes when it comes to food?

I have heard about your dislike for eggs in tomatoes and wonder what it is that you do not like about it specially if you have no dislike for tomatoes per se. Have you tried making it ever?

@allknowing Yes, I've tried it. It doesn't taste good to me. I like eggs and tomatoes by themselves but something about cooking them together just tastes bad.

I am yet to develop a taste for avocado and dragon fruit. I have just mentioned it in response to your other post.
. But yes, I do eat them for the nutritional benefits.
. I don't hate them either.

If you make dishes with them they could be palatable.

@allknowing Yes. That's why I consume avocado as avocado bread spread. Adding those spices and herbs make it palatable. And that becomes a nice dip too for Chips.

Everyone has different tastes, and it's fascinating to see how our preferences change over time. Personally, I don't have many food dislikes, but a few stand out.
When it comes to fruits, I've never liked chico (also known as sapodilla). Something about the texture and taste doesn't sit right with me. I've tried it several times, but it has never grown on me.
In terms of non-fruit foods, I've always disliked mayonnaise. It actually began when I was a child—an uncle of mine used to tease me while I was eating it, and it stuck with me and developed into a genuine aversion. Even now, I avoid it whenever possible.
Aside from those two, I'm fairly adventurous when it comes to food. It's interesting to see how others embrace flavors that I might not enjoy—just as you grew to love dark chocolate! Perhaps there is hope for me and Mayo one day. but I’m not holding my breath.

@allknowing I could not clearly recall what exactly was it but i remember it was something about something disgusting that to this day i find it distasteful and not appealing to my taste buds. Although I know he was just bullying, it has permanently ingrained in my mind.

My sister used to dislike tomatoes and mushrooms, but she acquired a taste by repeatedly trying them with new ingredients. It took a lot of effort for her to get over her aversion.
One food I dislike despite repeated attempts to get over it is cottage cheese. I cannot seem to tolerate cottage cheese no matter how hard I try.
But I love a good omelette. I think bacon, bell peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, and mushrooms make the perfect omelette. Fried chicken is also a big hit. My maternal grandmother made the best fried chicken ever. Homemade is the best.

Cottage cheese known as Paneer here has become a staple diet in our household I add it to as many dishes as possibloe.
Your omelette loooks rich and delicious with all those ingredients added.

I think dark chocolate is partly an acquired taste. I like most foods and find them palatable except liver, and squid. Hard pass on those.

I love tomatoes and cook with them a LOT.We cook with onions, many hate them but my family loves onions. I like them fresh, too. Dark chocolate is the best, but I don't eat chocolate every day, I try to keep it a treat. I love chicken and fish, vegetables, and a really good and crunchy green salad. Don't get me started on desserts...I really like them, but I limit myself.
