Grapes - how do you remove the skin

June 9, 2025 4:20pm CST
Grapes How do you remove the skin before you eat them My hands are not as nimble as they used to be and this is a task I find impossible to do. Yvonne eats them with the skin on. Red or Green or even Black Purple as well Grapes, how do you get the skin off them before eating ? I bet I get some really novel responses here

We eat the whole grape, so no skinning here. My dad couldn't digest grape skin . . . he just chewed it til there was only skin left then he spit it out .

@Ineeddentures I have never attempted removing the skin and imagine what it would be like with juice falling all lover.

@allknowing Juice would flow down your fingers I imagine before you could get it in your mouth. That's what happens to me with the bigger grapes anyway

I beg to differ my friend. Like a turnip, I feel the skin should be removed before eating But I do a cept that it may be ok to swallow the skin too.

I eat grapes skin and all. If the skins are too tough, I spit them out afterwards.

If I do this and eat the grape skins I will probably get anxious in case I choke I think I will just continue getting Yvonne to peel my grapes for me although it really pisses her off that I will not be a big boy and eat the skins

I usually eat grapes with the skin on. But if I feel like I don’t want the skin or it doesn’t seem to go when I eat it I just peel with my fingers.

I don't have finger nails Well not very good ones.. So it is problematic to peel the grapes. Sometimes I ask Yvonne to peel my grapes but she usually , no always says No

@porwest Well Jim It was sort of a tongue in cheek post. I don't really get offended I just hope the people who think I am serious about this are not offended If I want I could put 25 grapes in my.gob and swallow the lot without chewing lol

Now, you understand why I seldom eat grapes since I hate to remove its skin Or I will eat some kinds of grapes that are OK to eat with skin.

Oh Wow That's 2 from 2 for eating them without the removal of the skins. I get frustrated with them as I can never get the skins off. Are the skins not hard to swallow
