Usually I leave well enough alone

Maybe this situation doesn't qualify for "well enough." I have birds!! Not so delightful starlings. I have left the ugly darlings alone. And then this Spring they came back to make another nest in what I thought was the eaves above my front porch. The bird noise got louder, more pronounced. Moxe dog started acting like there was somebody in the front house wall!! Total horror yells from me. I said something about my visitors on Nextdoor. Somebody there gave me a company that kicks out vistors like rodents. I contacted the company and exactly at 8 am this morning a friendly big guy appeared at my door. He inspected- he peered up into the crawlspace above my front porch. "You have a large bird nest here!" Oh total blech. The good news: NOT in the walls. For about just under five hundred dollars he will boot the nest and bag it and get it off the premises and he will fix a rotten board on the side of the house and paint it. Okay by me. Now I listen to bird whistles and rustlings and wait for the company to call me back for exactly when they can get the work done. Maybe I need ear plugs.
