The ongoing classroom saga

I asked the building principal if I could be moved to a downstairs room since I can't go up and down the stairs safely these days with my balance issues. I've been using the elevator for a month now. That is all well and good but in the event of an actual emergency I wouldn't be able to use it and wouldn't be able to get down the stairs.
It is pretty obvious that I've been having a tough time getting around to anyone who has seen me walking around my room, in the halls, etc. Both the supervisor and principal took my request seriously. I was kind of surprised that I didn't have to jump through hoops with medical documentation.
I saw the principal a couple of times last week and he told me that he was still working on my situation. Just now he texted me and said that to get me downstairs I might have to be in 2 different rooms. That sucks but there isn't any other option--I simply cannot stay in a 2nd floor classroom. I've done it before and I can do it again.
Anyway there are 2 days left in the school year. I wish he would have gotten on this sooner so I could have spent the past couple of weeks packing everything up. I don't want to have to deal with it over the summer.

Uhm... you have a HUGE workforce available to you... Use the students to pack everything up and move it to the new classrooms or where ever you'll store it between the classrooms.
They're only doing free-time stuff anyway right now, correct? Nobody should complain if you use slave labor.

I guess two rooms is better than staying where you are.
