On the go, in the rain, all day

Today, as soon as Bob was ready, we drove north. It is about thirty miles. Most of the way we had downpours.
Our errand was to pick up my covid vaccine records, because it seems I threw out my cards.
Evidently there is a website that goes back quite a ways, and can show you all your vaccinations from various places all over the state. My oldest one in that data base was 1997. As an adult I do not think I really started getting vaccines until I went to work in the schools. I still had to have her print me one with just the covid shots on it.
I needed these records because I am trying to participate in a clinical trial, and this was a requirement.
We hurried home, had a light lunch for me, breakfast for Bob. Then we took off going south to El Dorado. I did the screening and paperwork for the clinical trial. I will not know if I qualify until after they get my lab results.
We needed to stop to put fuel in the car, and I went in the store. While I waited all day for things I had gotten really hungry for chili, and I did not have any on hand.
I also got pecan sticky buns. We just finished an early supper.
Bob is gone again, picking up the battery charger for the weed eater. I am going to do the dishes.
And listen to the rain as it comes and goes.
We are under a flood watch until 9:30 p.m. Some places in our state had 105 MPH straight line winds. Once Bob gets home he can just sit, and be safe.
I was glad I took a book with me for the day.

I'm glad you got your errands done today and hope you qualify for the clinical trial. Good luck!
We had weather warnings for today but it was supposed to stay dry here. The workmen brought rain with them when they arrived. But, even with severe weather warnings for wind today, we didn't have any to speak of, thank goodness. Just rain and storms through the day.
I hope you're having a good evening and will have a good night.

I was exhausted, though I did not do anything strenuous. I have already been issued a pay card. That is nice.

@GardenGerty I understand.. All I've done this morning was move stuff out of the areas where the workmen will be and I'm exhausted!
I'm glad you were approved! Congrats!

This one will pay okay. I have never done one before. It will have a year's worth of follow ups and I will earn around $1000. It is a decent gig. I would like to do more.

@GardenGerty Yeah, if I run across good ones, or those I qualify for.

And lots of rain. A wild turkey decided she/he had to cross the highway during one of the times when the rain slowed down.

I feel very safe in our home. Being on the road in a downpour kind of bothers me.
