Hamburgers for Dinner!

We decided to have hamburgers for dinner tonight. I figured it was quick and easy and the grands would like that too. We had our daughter Ashley and her two children here today. I thought hamburgers was a safe thing to fix tonight because I have never known a kid to not like hamburgers. These two's eating habits have changed. My granddaughter doesn't eat hamburgers anymore and my grandson, who used to devour any and all food has also decided that he doesn't care for hamburgers either. I think he may be influenced a bit by his older sister, but oh well. My daughter packed mac and cheese in a bowl and Ramen Noodles "just in case" and that is what they ate tonight. I don't know anyone who doesn't like hamburgers....I do try to stay away from red meat though except for what Meals on Wheels brings me.

I think they were common when we were growing up. Now kids are all into Noodles and such like Ramen. Those things are so bad for you!

@kareng I like 1/2 a package of Ramen noodles added to my Progresso soups. I don't use the seasoning packet.

My grown up hubby refuses to eat cow burgers though he will eat Impossible type burgers. I rarely eat burgers either, these days.

@sallypup I'm not even going to try again with veggie burgers because hubby has coltis and gets sick every time he has tried one. So they are off limits now. The turkey hen sounds cute!!

@kareng The Impossible burger surprised us with its texture and taste. The older I get the more I remember the friends that I made that were cows and even chickens and turkeys. Ms. Turkey Hen that cried at the back kitchen door for a treat.

My kids used to eat anything and grandchildren would eat anything. So far the great grandchildren will eat anything that you give them.

Kids are getting pickier these days! We used to get served dinner and if you didn't like it, you went and fixed yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Very odd! All the kids I know love hamburgers. As a kid I liked both hamburgers and hot dogs. Still do!

Come to think of it, I can't think of anyone I know, adults or kids, who don't like hamburgers. That's just good eats.

I agree! I think some people give kids too much of a free range with the meals. I know my oldest daughter does and this is one of the twins. She is following suit it looks like.

Our two boys always ate their breakfast cereal dry and, after watching them, so did their young cousin! lol I used to have a great jigsaw of a hamburger.

My husband does that! It drives me crazy. I'll go for the box to get cereal in the morning and there is not much left but a handful. Oops!

Oh, kids go through picky phases. They might come back to burgers. That said, although I like hamburgers okay, I am usually more of a hot dog girl at cookouts.
