Just had a shower

A cold shower.
A cold, unexpected shower...
I was in my backyard tending to a flower bed when the sky started grumbling, and I said to it, "Please let me finish this bit before you open up."
But it didn't heed my request.
I quickly put things away and thought I'd just sit under my patio cover and read (I already had my book out there).
But nope...
It started gusting as well as coming down in buckets and the rain blew under the canopy and not only got my book wet but me, too.
So, here I am sitting in my robe (clothes got soaked) whining about it to you.

We had some big storms come through last night but fortunately did not get the high winds and hail that they had elsewhere.

Ohhh... so Mother Nature gave you a shower... I thought you were admitting you were starting those monthly showers like @TheHorse takes... 
It stormed early this morning but it's been sunny for a little while. We're at 78F/25C but it's clouding up again now.
I'm sorry your book got soaked. I hope it survives the rain.

Well, my book didn't get soaked, just slightly wet... Wiped it dry when I came in the house.
